SNCF has launched a new website and smartphone app which replaces several apps including OUI into one website / app called SNCF Connect.
The new app will be a one stop shop for buying tickets and travel updates, you will also be able to use the app to
• Search for routes with details on stops and connections
• Buy tickets for TGV , Intercity and TER Trains
• Buy ticket for Flixbus coaches and BlaBlaCar
• Hire a car with Avis
• Reserve a taxi or car-share
• Traffic info and real-time alerts
Not all services will be available at the launch of the app but will be added over the coming months including combined travel types, adding travel cards and some international travel.
The OUI app will continue to function but the service will be reduced as more services are transferred to SNCF Connect.
New feature we liked
The app allows you to enter your departure and arrival address, it will then calculate the quickest route between them. For example, if you are travelling between 2 locations in a city with a metro. The app will break your journey down. The first part may tell you to walk, showing you your route directions, then to get on the Métro for a certain number of stops before walking again to your destination.
The website is in Several languages for English you have to choose European (other countries).

Something to consider when Travelling with your bike on the French Train Network.
Taking a bike on TGV is difficult, each route seems to have it own rules, most prefer bikes to be boxes. If in no rush TER trains are the best option when booking do each leg as these trains are regional.
