Richard Fairhurst is the creator; programmer and general dogs body of cycle.travel
This year at the online Cycling Touring Festival, Richard was invited to participate in a 1 hour session where he explains how to use the planner and where to find useful features and more, the last 15 minutes includes a question and answer session.
I found the interview really useful, and learnt about new features within the planner so I recommend it for users new and old.
Richard has developed an algorithm that navigates you towards cycle paths and quiet minor roads with amazing scenery. So with cycle tourists in mind, it will help you plan your adventure including accommodation, landmarks, finding local pub and much more.
Our cycle.travel review soon to be updated.
The Interview was hosted online by Cycling Touring Festival
The Cycle Touring Festival is usually a weekend of talks, camping, planning and all things bicycle touring. It’s the place to come for anyone planning, thinking about or dreaming of a bike trip. There are talks, workshops, drop-in sessions, practical advice and story telling. However, in 2020, 2021 and 2022, the festival has been a virtual event, held mainly over Zoom.
