Day 3 Cherbourg to Quineville le Havre 36km
Exciting leaving a town for the countryside where we prefer to cycle. But as we left Cherbourg shared the magnificent Chateau des Ravalet with us.
Then we turned left and bang 8% of hill awaited us sorry legs on our first full day of riding. For a reward the next 30km were enjoyable rolling country lanes.
Lunch in true cycle touring tradition was taken at Videcoville in the grand bus shelter.
For lunch we enjoyed Greengumbo so tasty many thanks to @firepotfood
It is always hard on the bike after lunch, legs protest a little, but with many cute hamlets to admire and the odd Chateau we were soon at the coast passing sea food factories and the smell of the sea.
Tonight we are staying at the municipal campsite in Quineville next to the tiny port and miles of beaches with so many shells and sea glass which we could not resist collecting. Jenni's bike will be heavier tomorrow.
Tomorrow is a day exploring some of the DDAY beaches see you soon.
